TOM Holland of 2012 action thriller The Impossible will portray the famous web slinger as Sony and Marvel continue on with Spider-Man franchise reboot plans.
Having co-starred in The Impossible with Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor, the young Brit went on to appear in 2013 dramas How I Live Now and Locke opposite Saoirse Ronan and Tom Hardy respectively.
His next cinematic outing will be Ron Howard thriller In the Heart of the Sea, which has Avengers franchise lead Chris Hemsworth as one of its principal actors.
With the next Spider-Man set for a July 2017 release, Holland is expected to debut as Peter Parker and his wall-climbing alter ego in 2016 standalone Captain America: Civil War, which is heading for a May 6 launch.
