Ford Motor plans to launch the Lincoln brand in China in late October 2014, the effort is expected to help Ford increase the volume and value of sales until 2020.
Lincoln sales target was increased from 100 thousand units to 300 thousand units in 2020, however, Ford management recognizes that the target was too small even for the standards of luxury brands.
Ford Lincoln is a premium brand that is used as a rival for Jaguar and Volvo. The company said that Lincoln was the top brand in China and has been quite popular in the consumer name.
Reported by Forbes, Lincoln was mentioned car design is in accordance with the Chinese consumer tastes and new products will be continuously adapted to the Chinese market.
As a first step, Lincoln will inaugurate eight dealerships in China by the end of this year. Then targeted to 17 dealers in 2015 and reaching 50 dealerships by the end of 2016.
