A Canadian man named Ron Morais found a dead mouse at the bottom of his coffee cup while he was having breakfast two days ago at a McDonald's fast food restaurants.
"I was sipping my last drop of coffee. When I saw there was a dead rat," he told CBC television stations, as reported by the Daily Mail newspaper on Friday (17/10).
When it Morais was with her friend Jennifer LaHaye.
"'My God, there was a rat in my glass,'" LaHaye said imitating his friend. "I looked into his eyes and looked into his glass. He was not kidding."
Morais said after spending a coffee with no dead rats in glass making him feel nauseous.
McDonald's said they have submitted a statement saying the company public health inspectors checked the fast-food restaurant and call it no problems plague in their food and beverage products.
"We are responding to charges related to a matter of hygiene and sanitation very seriously," the statement said Jason Patuano, communications manager for McDonald's Canada.
"In dealing with this situation we have conducted an investigation into the incident last Tuesday and in collaboration with health authorities."
Spanish Health Ministry said there was no evidence of bubonic plague and all the food is sealed.
"We are still investigating the incident and has been contacting customers to request product samples," the statement said McD.
Morais said he wanted to meet and talk with McD management to discuss why there was a dead rat at the bottom of the glass.
