Tesla electric car manufacturer launched its newest product, named D or Dual Motor on Thursday (9/10/2014) ago in Los Angeles, United States.
The car is a variant of the all-wheel-drive on the Model S with higher performance. Claimed as the fastest 0-100 km / h can be reached within three seconds. While the distance of 442 km is reached when the battery is fully charged.
However, D was apparently not an electric car that features a pure autopilot as it has been predicted many circles. Only, as reported by the Huffington Post, D offers security features that are similar to the autopilot.
For example, D has a system that can make the car change lanes when the driver turned on the turn signal. Then the computational system can also read the speed limit signs and adjust automatically.
Then there are security features such as 12 sensors that can monitor the environment around the car so as not to come into contact with pedestrians and also while it is running backwards.
Business Insider says there are three variants are owned by D. Each is distinguished by the size of the battery. Highest variance, ie AD P85D, will begin shipping in December tomorrow, and other variants in February next year.
