Big Hero 6 Conquer the Box Office - Los Angeles: In a surprise, "Big Hero 6" able to conquer one of the most respected directors in Hollywood, Christopher Nolan who gush "Interstellar."
Reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Monday (11/10/2014), this animated film to win the race to the top of the domestic box office with a scooped USD56,2 million from screenings in 3,761 theaters.
Meanwhile, "Interstellar" had to settle for runner-up with USD52,2 million derived from 3,561 theaters in the first five days of delivery.
Nolan asked movies played two days earlier in a small number of theaters, and around USD13,4 million of the total came from Imax and a special screen. The film, starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain, is the longest movie ever worked Nolan with a duration of 169 minutes.
